Strategic Operational Coverage Growth

With years of expertise in the construction industry, Amcorp has established itself as a trusted name in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

AMCORP’s expert team combines craftsmanship, modern tech, and detail-focused execution to achieve exceptional results across all projects.

Era of Road Works

AMCORP’s journey began in 1964, growing rapidly under founder Mr. Shamim Hadi Naqvi, with landmark road contracts that strengthened Karachi’s infrastructure.

The company’s roots trace back to 1964, with the registration of M/S Al Mumtaz Corporation in 1965 marking its formal beginning. In Karachi’s booming trade era, Mr. Shamim Hadi Naqvi, founder of the company, secured significant road contracts that showcased AMCORP’s capability and vision.

Among the earliest achievements were Nazimabad Road, Zaibunnisa Street, Sir Ghulam Hussain Hidayatullah Road, the stretch from KMC office to Native Jetty Bridge, and the High Court Secretariat Road. These projects improved connectivity and established AMCORP as a trusted name in infrastructure development.

Expansion into Building Works

From 1971 to 1980, AMCORP transitioned from road works into full scale building construction under the first generation of promoters. Guided by strong ethics, quality, and dedication, the company delivered hospitals, housing, sewerage systems, fire stations, bridges, and residential complexes that withstood floods, heavy traffic, and harsh weather.

Between 1980 and 1990, AMCORP expanded rapidly, completing low cost housing schemes, KMC flats, civic buildings, universities, and apartments, delivering over 3000 homes and establishing itself as a leading construction company in Pakistan.

Industrial Buildings, Hospitals, High-end Finishing works and E&P Sector

Despite political and economic fluctuations during this decade, AMCORP continued to deliver high-quality projects across industrial, healthcare, housing, education, and E&P sectors. Notably, in the revival of the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme, AMCORP completed 240 B-type apartments in Gulistan-e-Jauhar 8–9 months ahead of competitors, earning priority from buyers.

Several landmark collaborations with architects, consultants, and multinational firms further strengthened our reputation for quality and timely delivery.

Domain of Mechanical works in Oil & Gas Sector & Plant Construction

Between 2011 and 2015, AMCORP added significant expertise with record-setting achievements. Eight well sites were built in just 30 days each, delivered a full month ahead of schedule, while seven others were completed in 55 days, 35 days before schedule.

With 7.5 million man-hours completed LTI free, the company also celebrated its 50-year milestone, constructed 250 kilometers of access roads, secured international certifications, and delivered the civil works for a 160 MMSCFD plant, an achievement of true mega contract scale.

Expanding Horizons & Building New Frontiers

During 2009 to 2015 we had successfully developed a niche for the company in the Exploration sector, having work with all the MNCs, we felt that we had made strong footholds. Now was the time to expand the horizon and diversify simultaneously.

We felt we will become obscure and irrelevant in the other sectors where we once had good in roads. Hence started aggressively pursuing our old leads and new.At the same time we started venturing in to new avenues. We started working on Pre-cast solutions for building which still is an underexplored and untapped phenomenon.

Mean while our experience in our working remotest locations and working in environment where HSE was priority gave us an edge and helped us in securing contract with USAID, JICA and Siemens.

Resilience, Reinvention & Remarkable Growth Amid Adversity

2020 would be remembered for generations for the pandemic. It was a tough time for every industry and every job and every task. Ant hill task became mountains. The disconnection from human interface impacted every industry.

Some industries wagged frantically to adjust to the new normal as the pandemic subsided. AMCORP also struggled to find the way to survive in one of the toughest times in the last Millenia, people who had come across such distressed times were antiquities. Absorbing the conditions, AMCORP cordoned of their sites creating a bubble which was being done all over the world.

The teams decided to stay in the vicinity and do their jobs. Even in these times the projects were delivered successfully and in time.
