The Construction of Infrastructure Works Phase 2A for Emaar Oceanfront is a major utility development contract within DHA Karachi. The project's vision is to establish all essential underground services required to support the large-scale residential development. This demanding scope requires the seamless integration of a multitude of networks across the site.
The services encompass all critical utility networks, including Sewerage, MV Feeder, Storm Water, Fire Suppression, Water Supply, Irrigation Line, Street Lights, and CCTV/ICT Networks. AMCORP's role as the contractor demonstrates its specialised capability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure packages for premier urban developers like EMAAR.
The technical execution is rigorous, focusing on the parallel laying of interconnected utility systems. Notably, the MV Feeder System is being laid out in parallel from the Grid Station to future substations alongside the other utility lines, requiring precise coordination. This careful sequencing is essential to prevent delays and ensure system readiness.
A temporary facility was established on-site specifically for the casting of Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) elements, including manholes and drains for the Main Boulevard, Residential District, and Local Streets. Following the backfilling of these utility trenches, the Road Works and exterior improvements commence, with all As-built drawings being submitted concurrently to maintain project compliance and record accuracy.
This ongoing contract is a testament to the continued strong relationship between AMCORP and EMAAR, building upon previous successful collaborations in both Karachi and Islamabad. The project is crucial for the overall progression of the Oceanfront development, ensuring the site is fully serviced and prepared for vertical construction.
The successful execution of this utility phase demonstrates AMCORP’s proficiency in delivering essential services that form the backbone of modern urban planning. Our commitment is to ensure the infrastructure meets the highest standards required for a premium residential development in a marine environment.
