This project is significant as the fifth award received from Siemens, demonstrating the client’s sustained trust in AMCORP. It is a KfW-funded project, necessitating adherence to stringent international standards and critical compliance requirements. The work involves complex civil construction and specialised systems integration essential for a modern Gas Insulated Substation (GIS), demanding absolute precision for the subsequent electrical component installation.
Our successful, continued partnership is built on consistent delivery of quality in the utility sector. We ensure project execution aligns precisely with technical specifications provided by Siemens and meets the high-level quality assurance demanded by the international funding body, reinforcing our commitment to excellence.
The project mandates comprehensive site establishment works, including fence permits, installing security fencing, and developing a complete water supply, sewage, and drainage systems connected reliably to existing networks. This foundational work is critical for the GIS station’s long-term operational resilience.
Our scope proceeds to the full execution of the required buildings and ancillary civil works. A key focus is the meticulous implementation of the lightning protection system, which requires specialised cutting, chasing, grouting, and installation of earth pits as per IFC drawings. Furthermore, we coordinate provisions for HVAC works and specialised fire-fighting provisions within all structural elements.
The specialised nature of a GIS Grid Station requires civil execution that accommodates intricate electrical and mechanical systems. We meticulously execute the installation of electrical supports and accessories, including cable support inserts within the concrete structures, alongside detailed excavation and backfilling for the underground earthing system. This precision ensures zero conflicts during the later stages of electrical equipment installation.
Our responsibility extends to coordinating all builders’ work, guaranteeing seamless integration across the entire facility. The successful delivery of this 220/132KV station reinforces our expertise in providing stable, long-term infrastructure for Pakistan's national power grid. This award proves AMCORP’s ability to manage projects where technical compliance and reliability are non-negotiable prerequisites.
