The 10 MWP Solar Photovoltaic Plant at Bhit represented AMCORP's contribution to advanced renewable energy infrastructure. This facility holds distinction as it forms a component of one of the world's largest solar plants, specifically designed to power gas turbines. The project leveraged AMCORP's extensive, decade-long operational familiarity with the Bhit Field, which was the basis for the award by REON, following a recommendation from ENI.
The successful execution showcased AMCORP’s seamless transition of expertise from traditional E&P civil works to the specialised requirements of a large-scale solar energy project. This project affirmed the company’s ability to participate in and deliver sustainable energy solutions.
The foundation phase required specialised execution for the installation of the solar array infrastructure. The scope included installation works involving precisely 5,045 piles. These were executed efficiently using straight rotary piling rigs. This large-scale piling effort was crucial for securely mounting the photovoltaic panels and supporting the plant's operational structure.
A critical constraint of this project was the highly aggressive 3-month timeline for completion. AMCORP successfully managed the large volume of piling and installation works to meet this deadline. The swift delivery confirmed AMCORP's organisational capacity and logistical efficiency for fast-track projects.
By successfully completing the civil works and installation for this solar project, AMCORP significantly expanded its range of services within the Exploration & Production (E&P) sector. This project demonstrates the company’s versatility in executing diverse infrastructure necessary for modern plant operations, from basic civil works to specialized utility installations.
The success of the 10 MWP Solar Plant reinforced AMCORP's credibility in delivering technical MEP and utility infrastructure. It added a new dimension to their history of achievement in the oil and gas fields, where they have previously completed major earth and civil works across various concessions.
