The ABL Timber Market Branch project was a strategic demonstration of AMCORP’s innovative shift toward Precast Works. The construction involved a methodology where major structural components were fabricated off-site, a technique relatively new to the local market at the time of AMCORP's first venture. This technological approach enabled AMCORP to be the only company trusted to execute this specific type of precast building in the highly congested Saddar area.

The decision to use precast construction was directly necessitated by the project's unique constraints, specifically the lack of working space and severe restrictions on execution time. By utilizing components cast miles away at the company yard, AMCORP managed to circumvent the limitations of the confined urban environment and deliver a superior quality product.

Accelerated On-Site Execution

The efficiency gains realised through the precast methodology were dramatic. The scope included the supply and installation of essential structural elements: columns, beams, and slabs. The remarkable achievement was that these large structural elements, which were fully cast off-site, were successfully erected on the congested site within a timeframe of just 17 days.

This extremely accelerated installation process ensured timely delivery without any compromise on the mandated quality standards. This project exemplifies how AMCORP leverages innovative methods to set new benchmarks in construction efficiency, especially when faced with demanding timelines and urban logistical challenges.

The project, supervised by Habib Fida Ali, built upon the company's robust experience in providing bespoke precast works for clients like PARCO Coastal Refinery and SECMC for their Silo project.
