Integrated EPC Solution and Delivery

The award of this project was a recognition of AMCORP's ability to provide integrated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) solutions. The timing of the project presented a significant logistical challenge, as the entire system had to be imported and airlifted from Turkey. This complex delivery was executed during the restrictive period of the COVID-19 pandemic to successfully meet the critical project timelines.

Executing the plant on a Design-Build, Operate & Maintain (DBOM) basis showcased AMCORP's full-spectrum capability in water management infrastructure. The project reflects the company's aggressive strategy to diversify its service offerings and venture into new avenues like design-build and operate.

Comprehensive Civil and Mechanical Scope

The project required extensive civil works for the treatment facility. The civil scope included the construction of sewer lines, screening chambers, oil grit chambers, and vital infrastructure like pumping stations. Large-scale structural components were built, such as dry and wet wells, equalization tanks, and the core aeration/SBR tanks, along with boundary walls.

The mechanical scope involved the installation of all imported equipment essential for the plant’s function. This included primary and secondary screens, grit scrapers, various pumps, and specialised electromechanical systems like air blowers, penstock gates, and pH meters. This integration of complex foreign mechanical systems demonstrated the company's technical depth.

Long-Term Operation and Maintenance

A distinctive and crucial feature of this contract is the commitment to operational continuity. The STP plant is currently being operated and maintained by AMCORP's team of professional engineers. This ongoing responsibility ensures the plant’s reliable performance and compliance with standards for treating the water.

The commitment to a long-term Operation and Maintenance phase reinforces AMCORP’s trusted role as a service provider. The successful completion of this plant, which was literally packaged in Turkey, represented a significant milestone in the company’s diversification efforts.
