Emaar Construction Package - 1 Grading and Allied Structures of 35 Hectare Canyon Views Development

Successfully executed approximately 22 million Cft. of earthworks, four culverts, and durable retaining walls on piles for 35 hectares of Canyon Views.

Overview

AMCORP executed the first contract with EMAAR, performing Grading and Allied Structures across 35 hectares at Canyon Views. The core task involved executing 22 million Cft. of earthworks and constructing four culverts and four retaining walls on piles. These culverts were designed at the scale of small bridges, supporting deep backfilling.

The project was successfully delivered on a fast-track schedule despite COVID-19 disruptions and established long-term client trust, which was paramount to the partnership.

Large-Scale Earthworks Expertise

This project represented AMCORP’s first contract with EMAAR, successfully secured based on our extensive, proven expertise in large-scale earthworks execution. The project involved grading and site preparation across a massive 35-hectare area at the Canyon Views Development in Islamabad, requiring meticulous management of diverse soil and strata conditions. The timely and high-quality completion of this foundational work established the long-term trust that led to the award of multiple subsequent EMAAR projects.

The core technical undertaking was vast in scale: AMCORP successfully executed 22 million Cft. of earthworks. This required the expert deployment and coordination of heavy earthmoving equipment and effective management of logistics across the entire site. The successful delivery affirmed our operational excellence in managing complex terrain and high-volume earthmoving projects under demanding schedules.

Structural Integration and Execution

Beyond simple grading, the project included the construction of allied structures essential for the infrastructure. This scope involved the critical construction of four culverts and four retaining walls, all supported on piles to ensure long-term stability. The culverts themselves were designed at the scale of small bridges, supporting backfilling depths of up to 12 meters.

The execution of the project was notably challenged by the onset of COVID-19 disruptions. Despite the global health crisis, the contract was delivered on a fast-track schedule, ensuring timely completion. AMCORP rigorously implemented strict on-site COVID-19 safety protocols, resulting in zero reported cases throughout the project execution.

Client Confidence and Project Value

The successful delivery of this foundational package was paramount, as it directly supported subsequent phases of the Canyon Views master plan. The combination of managing massive earthworks volume with the technical precision required for structural foundations and complex culverts demonstrated AMCORP's multi-disciplinary capacity.

The project’s successful completion established a significant and enduring partnership with EMAAR, validated by the subsequent award of two additional, major infrastructure packages. This history proves AMCORP’s ability to execute challenging, large-scale grading and structural integration projects to the highest international client standards.
