Gulshan Grid Station Civil Work

Core Civil and Structural Scope

The primary objective was executing the Complete Civil works of the new 220 KV Grid Station. This involved extensive foundation and structural construction to house the high-voltage electrical equipment and control systems. The scope specifically included the construction of the Distribution and Repair Centre (DRC) for the new 220 KV facility.

In addition, the project required comprehensive civil works for the older facility, including the necessary Extension in the old 132 KV Grid Station. This duality of constructing a new high-voltage station while upgrading the older one underscored AMCORP's capacity for complex site management and integration.

Essential MEP and Utility Integration

Beyond the structural foundation, the contract required integrating basic Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) components. This specifically included the execution of small power and lighting systems throughout the new and extended facilities.

For the 132 KV Old Golimar Grid Station, a related project, the scope mandated the complete Civil, Plumbing, and Small power/lighting works. This demonstrated a consistent capability to deliver necessary site utilities alongside main civil works, ensuring full project functionality upon handover.

Reinforcing Grid Station Expertise

The 220 KV Gulshan Grid Station was a flagship project that significantly reinforced AMCORP's specialised expertise. This project, finished between 2017-2020, was managed under the close supervision of the EA Consultant and Siemens.

AMCORP also executed other concurrent projects in Karachi, including the 132 KV Old Golimar, 132 KV Valika, and 132 KV B.O.C. extensions. This collective experience affirmed AMCORP's technical capacity to manage and deliver complex, high-voltage energy infrastructure projects across multiple sites in Sindh and cemented its partnership with Siemens.
