132 KV Old Golimar Grid Station Civil Works

Comprehensive Civil and Utility Scope

The primary objective of the 132 KV Old Golimar Grid Station Civil Works was to deliver a fully functional site for the high-voltage electrical equipment. The scope was explicitly defined as the Complete Civil, Plumbing and Small power/lighting works for the entire 132 KV Grid Station.

This required extensive foundation and structural construction tailored to the specific needs of a power distribution facility. The work demonstrated AMCORP's capability to manage the heavy civil engineering necessary for major electrical infrastructure projects. This project was executed between 2016 and 2019.

Essential Utility and MEP Integration

A critical component of the contract was the integration of essential Plumbing systems. This involved establishing the necessary water and sanitation networks required for the operational and administrative areas of the grid station.

Furthermore, the scope included the execution of Small power/lighting works throughout the facility. This specialised electrical work, though categorised as "small power," is crucial for the internal functioning, monitoring, and safety of the 132 KV Grid Station, ensuring necessary illumination and power points are operational. This seamless integration of utilities alongside the core civil works guaranteed full project readiness upon handover.

Demonstrating Grid Infrastructure Expertise

The Old Golimar Grid Station project was one of several concurrent grid station projects AMCORP undertook in Karachi, all managed under the supervision of EA Consultant and Siemens. Other related projects included the 220 KV Gulshan Grid Station Civil Works, the 132 KV Valika Grid Station (Extension), and the 132 KV B.O.C. Grid Station (Extension).

This collective experience affirmed AMCORP's technical capacity to manage and deliver complex, high-voltage energy infrastructure projects across multiple sites in Sindh. The successful completion reinforced AMCORP's standing as a reliable partner in the crucial power distribution sector.
