Construction of Early Works of Panorama Tower

Laying foundational works for Pakistan's tallest residential tower (42 stories), executing 999 piles on reclaimed land against challenging timelines.

Overview

AMCORP executed the Early Works for the 42-story Panorama Tower on reclaimed land within a challenging 120-day timeline. The scope involved completing 999 piles (up to 40m deep) and deep excavation. The project demanded high-volume and technically complex foundational execution.

Resource mobilisation included importing three specialised rigs to meet the deadline, achieving over 288,900 safe man-hours. The success significantly reinforced AMCORP's reputation for high-volume, high-precision foundational work in demanding urban environments.

Securing a National Landmark

This project involved laying the crucial foundations for Panorama Tower, which was designed as Pakistan's tallest residential building at 42 stories. The sheer scale of the structure demanded a foundational solution of the highest reliability and technical complexity. AMCORP secured this contract through a highly competitive bidding process, standing out against established industry players due to a strong technical submission and timely delivery.

The site was extremely challenging, as the tower was constructed entirely on reclaimed land, which requires highly specialised techniques to ensure long-term stability and load transfer. AMCORP accepted and successfully delivered the project within an extremely challenging 120-day timeline, a schedule that other firms had specifically declined, confidently reflecting our exceptional execution strength in high-stakes projects.

Piling Volume and Technical Scope

The core technical task required immense piling works, completing 999 piles in total (399 foundation, 600 secant). Piles reached diameters ranging from 600 to 1000 mm and impressive depths up to 40 meters, underscoring AMCORP's capacity for mega-project scale foundational works.

Supplementary works were extensive and critical, including deep excavation reaching 14.074 meters, complex de-watering works, and large-scale anchoring. We meticulously executed 178 anchor drillings and grouting, and the installation of 430 RM of waller beam for lateral support, showcasing comprehensive ground stabilisation expertise.

Resource Mobilization and Safety

To successfully meet the demanding 120-day completion window, AMCORP demonstrated exceptional resource mobilisation capabilities. This included the deployment of six rotary Kelly rigs and one continuous flight auger rig, with three of the rigs imported specifically for this project. This rapid asset acquisition ensured execution targets were met without compromising quality or time constraints.

The project maintained an exemplary safety record, completing over 288,900 safe man-hours. All foundational elements were subjected to rigorous, comprehensive static and dynamic load testing, confirming the structural integrity and compliance of the foundation system. The successful delivery secured the base for a major national landmark.
