Construction of Early Works of The View Tower

Successfully executing complex piling, excavation, and foundational works, including anchoring systems, for the highly challenging 150-day View Tower project for EMAAR.

Overview

AMCORP successfully executed the Early Works for The View Tower for EMAAR, completing the challenging 150-day project in 2022. The scope involved the installation of 660 piles (up to 40m deep) and deep excavation (up to 13.225m).

Key specialised works included the drilling and pre-stressing of 126 anchors and the installation of 240 RM of waller beam. The project was completed to the highest standards, verified by comprehensive static and dynamic load testing.

Foundation Depth and Complexity

This project involved executing the essential Early Works for The View Tower, marking another major foundational contract awarded by EMAAR. The project was executed within a highly challenging 150-day timeline, entrusted to AMCORP based on proven dedication and technical competence. The fundamental goal was to achieve foundational stability on difficult ground strata to support the massive load of the future high-rise structure.

The core task required substantial piling works, specifically the execution of 660 piles in total, including 337 foundation piles and 323 tangent piles. Complexity was compounded by the requirement for deep excavation, reaching depths down to 13.225 meters, alongside specialised de-watering operations critical for maintaining site stability.

Specialised Technical Execution

The project demanded exceptional technical precision in foundation installation and ground stabilisation. The piling work involved large-diameter piles ranging from 750 to 1200 mm and reaching depths up to 40 meters, utilising specialised rigs. This demonstrates AMCORP's expertise in deep foundation installation for major vertical construction.

Beyond the core piling, AMCORP executed complex ancillary works crucial for lateral support and ground anchoring. This included drilling and grouting for 126 anchors and the subsequent pre-stressing of all 126 anchors. Furthermore, 240 RM of waller beam installation was required for lateral stability. All execution processes were subject to comprehensive static and dynamic load testing to ensure quality and structural integrity.

Client Confidence and Strategic Value

The award of The View Tower Early Works contract, following the successful completion of the Panorama Early Works, reinforced EMAAR's confidence in AMCORP’s capability and reliability. This trust highlights our ability to deliver highly specialised, fast-track projects that others might decline, solidifying our reputation in the niche market of deep, complex urban foundations.

By successfully managing the technical and time constraints, AMCORP continues to build its portfolio in strategic urban development. The delivery of this foundation is proof of our commitment to precision engineering and adherence to the highest safety and quality standards, securing the base for one of Karachi's prominent vertical structures.
